"Back again wonder why we left?"
My wife, our dog and I stayed in Cottage number 8 for a week. The second time this year. Everything was perfect and for techno addicts like us the wifi was brilliant. Alpine Park is only ten minutes from Junction 30 of the M5 so very convenient. What makes the difference from other nearby parks we have holidayed in is that Alpine is small and under the direct management of the owners. The grounds of the site really are a park with beautifully manicured lawns and well watered hanging baskets thanks to Curtis the owner. The beds are very comfortable and plenty of space in the kitchen to put things away. Decent pub across the road and a bus stop outside. Excellent and quick delivery from the local Chinese takeaway. We are looking forward to returning.
"Another lovely holiday"
Having stayed at Alpine Park cottages for the first time in 2017 we booked again for this year. Sally meet us with a warm and friendly greeting after a long journey down the M5 and what a nice touch to find tea bags, milk and biscuits waiting for you in your cottage. Although the site is next to the A3052 to Lyme Regis and Exeter, it's not so noisy that you feel you're holidaying on a motorway. The Cottages are spacious and towels, tea towels and washing up items are provided for you. Beds are also made up for your arrival which saves a lot of extra work. Curtis can be seen each morning doing various jobs around the site-deadheading the beautiful hanging baskets, mowing the lawns or just emptying the bins-but he always has time to say hello. There''s a play area for the children with a mini crazy golf course and picnic benches for the adults to enjoy a sunset drink. All in all this is a great place to stay.
"Wonderful place to stay"
Stayed here last year. Curtis, Sally and Helen are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Quiet site even though just off the main road. All very clean and kept to a high standard. Dogs welcome and children. Highly recommended.
"Excellent small cottage park, highly recommended"
We just returned from a 2 week holiday in the UK, of which we spend the last week at Alpine Park cottages. And as can be read in numerous other reviews, this is a great place, especially for families with (small) children. On arrival, Sally made us feel very welcome right away, and the cottages and grounds are immaculate, clean, very well maintained and very well equipped (while we did not even have the luxury version). During the week we noticed how much care the owners take in maintaining the place, and this shows. The location is good for various visits, beaches, waterfalls in Dartmoor, the city of Exeter, the South Devon Railway, some amusements parks, are all well within an hour drive. One potentially minor point, the internet connection is rather slow, good enough for staying in touch with friends and family, checking news and doing some research on things to do, but not really suitable for e.g. streaming video. On the plus-side, the connection was very reliable during the week and the owners are perfectly honest about the lack of bandwidth before you decide to pay for it.
"Fabulous Holiday"
We've just returned from a week's stay and have no grumbles whatsoever. The cottage was modern, spotless and spacious and in such a beautiful setting. Our 4 year old daughter absolutely loved it and the playground, which she spent so much time playing in. We stayed in number 1 so had the added extra of watching the rabbits from our window each morning. The grounds are maintained meticulously and really are gorgeous. There's also everything you need from salt and pepper to a kids' step for the sink, 5 stars all round.
"Superb as always!"
This was our eighth year in a row and it still never disappoints! Sally and Curtis work very hard to keep everything at Alpine in top condition. The cottages are to a very high standard and the grounds are beautiful. It’s a great place to relax but there’s also a lot to do in the area. Great place for a holiday!
