We have put together a list of frequently asked questions; however if you can't find the answer to the question you have, then please do not hesitate to contact us on 01395 233619 or email us.

 

General

We have been given the green light to reopen our business on the 4th July.  We have created specail COVID 19 FAQ's page here to keep you up to date with all the latest advice on holidaying with us this year, cleaning and attractions.

Cottages will be available from 4pm on the day of arrival; please help us by not arriving prior to this time.

If you wish to arrive after 6pm; please contact us regarding key collection.

Yes. Asda, Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsburys all deliver to Alpine Park Cottages. Please book your delivery slot for after 4pm on the day of arrival. Unfortunately we are unable to take in deliveries on your behalf.  Greendale Farm Shop also delivery to Alpine Park Cottages.

Waitrose is 5 miles away and Tesco Extra is 1 mile for Junction of the M5 or 6 miles from Alpine Park Cottages.

There is a petrol station just a ½ mile down the road which sells newspapers, milk and bread. Greendale Farm Shop is 2 miles from Alpine Park Cottages and opens at 8am – 8pm and sells fresh bread, milk papers, deli, veg, meat and fish.

Located opposite Alpine Park Cottages is the Half Way Inn Pub.

Yes. The 9/9a Bus goes to Exeter and Sidmouth. There is also the Jurassic Coast bus which goes right the way to Weymouth.

You are welcome day visitors; we just ask that they park their car by the owner’s bungalow. Unfortunately only guests on the original booking form are permitted to stay overnight in the cottages.

No; unfortunately for insurance purposes we are only allowed to permit 4 people including infants to stay in the cottage even if they are staying in a cot.

Between Mid September and Mid May we do a minimum 3 night short break or 4 nights over Christmas. Please call 01395 233619 for prices and availability. Arrival dates are flexible for short breaks during this period.

During Mid May and Mid September Saturday is our changeover day apart from the Premier | 4 person which is Friday. Out of season we are flexible with start dates

Yes; all cottages have wifi provided by Club Wifi. Click here for prices.

Firstly to cover the cost of the licence fee, equipment to boost the wifi signal around the park, the cost of an extra phone line and broadband charges. Secondly by using Club Wifi we can ensure the wifi is safe to you use for all the family.

Yes; Beds are made up for your arrival. A bath sheet and hand towel are provided one set per guest. We ask that you bring your own beach towels.

Yes we shall provide clean linen and towels for your second week.

Along with bed linen and towels, we provide a oven glove, tea towel and hand towel. Complimentary loo and kitchen roll. Washing up liquid, dishcloth, sponge, brillo and duster. Dishwasher tablets for cottages with a dishwasher.

Yes; you are welcome to borrow a BBQ from us or bring your own, we just ask that BBQ’s are not put on the grass or the patios/picnic tables… it has been done before!  Please note due to COVID 29 we are unable to issue BBQ's but you are welcome to have your own disposable one.

Yes we do in all cottages except for the Premier | 6 person cottages; we keep these pet free for guests with allergies. There is a charge of £25.00 per stay. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times whilst on the park and must not be left unattended in the cottage.

Extra time is taken to clean a cottage where a dog has previously stayed using a Dyson Pet hoover to ensure there are no traces of dog hairs. Carpets are professionally cleaner each year. It may have been several weeks since a dog has stayed in a cottage as not every booking brings a dog on holiday. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our cottages but if you are allergic to Pets we suggest you book the Premier | 6 person as we can guarantee that a pet has never stayed in those cottages.

Our holiday cottages are within a 7 mile drive you can be enjoying the golden sand on Exmouth Beach or the exploring the rock pools at the pebbly beach at Sidmouth.

Yes; see our out and about page. Alpine Park Cottages is a perfect base to stay with close links to the M5, A30 and A38 you can be in Torquay or walking on Dartmoor National Park within 40 minutes.

All of our cottages are single storey and suitable for guests with limited mobility. Our Premier | 4 person cottages have showers with a low profile shower tray. Guests can arrange to have medical equipment delivered. Please read our accessability page.

Covid 19 FAQ's

Cottages will remain empty either side of your booking and will be cleaned 72 hrs after the previous guests has left.  Evidence shows that the virus can last on surfaces for up to 3 days, so by leaving the cottage empty we believe this minimises the risk to you greatly.  This will be reviewed and adjusted inline with the R-Value, Alert Levels and currrent government guidlines.

We normally wipe down all touch points, ie remote controls, light switches during our normal routine cleaning. However, we shall be using a higher grade virucidal disinfectant BS EN 14476 which kills 99.9% germs and viruses. 

As normal dishwasher tablets will be provided along with a dish cloth, sponge, brillo, washing up liquid, oven gloves, tea and hand towel.  In addition, soap will be provided at all sinks to enable you wash your hands on arrival into the cottage and a bottle of disinfectant spray to wipe down surfaces and extra j clothes.

Yes; we shall still make beds up ready for your arrival, unless you say otherwise.  On departure we shall ask you to strip your beds and place linen directly into a black bag, which will be sent directly to the laundry.

Yes the play area will hopefully be open, so long as social distancing in maintained on the play area and children are supervised by an adult at all times.  Hand Sanitiser and wipe are available by the play area.

Yes, it will be limited to one household from the same cottage at a time.  Hand sanitiser will be provided at the entry point and you will be just asked to wipe the control panel after use. Disinfectant will be provided.

There will be no leaflets provided in the information point this.  We aim to provide as much information as possible prior to arrival for you to be able to plan ahead.  Please check on the Devon Attractions Visitors wesbite for  all update information on opening times, ticketing, etc

Guests will be asked not to travel to Alpine Park Cottages, if any of your party are displaying any symptoms of COVID19 or have been contacted by the track and test team.

Where a guest is unable to travel due to COVID 19 symptoms a full refund will be issued upon receipt of a doctor’s note.

Where a member of the party show symptoms of COVID19 whilst staying at Alpine Park Cottages they will be asked to return home as soon as possible along with all other members of their party.  All guests will be asked to remain inside the cottage until they leave.  Guests will be responsible for any associated cost for self isolating. 

Yes.  If Alpine Park Cottages is in lockdown a full refund will be offered or the option to transfer the holiday to 2021.

We need guests to adhere to the social distancing rules which apply at the time of your stay.  So please be prepared not to enter other family’s cottages.

You are welcome to book a supermarket delivery slot to deliver to Alpine Park Cottages.  Greendale Farm Shop also offers a delivery service. Like at home you may need to queue at many food shops

When guests start to arrive on the 4th July many hospitality businesses will be reopening. However,  like many businesses they will be adapting to meet the current guidelines and offering takeaway services, including Greendale Farm Shop. Details can be found on our website.

We recommend you look at Devon Attractions website, this will have all the current information on opening times and ticket information.  We recmmend you plan ahead this year, as many attractions will be limiting their visitors. 

We shall email you, pre arrival information in order to help you make the most of your stay.  This will include information regarding key collections, planning shopping, where to find the latest information on what attractions are open.

Yes of course, we shall also be available for a social distancing chat but would encourage you to phone our mobile if you have any problems.

Following government guidelines, if you or a member of your family display any signs of COVID 19.  You will be required to call 111.  Guests will be asked to return home.  Please note guests will be required to pay for any assocaited costs for self isolating.

Under normal circumstances, you are welcome to have family or friends visit you.  However, under the current guidelines this will not be permitted because we do not have their contact details to pass on NHS Track and Trace team should they request them.  Please help us keep everyone safe and arrange to meet them off site.

Currently as BBQ's are classed as a shared cooking facility we are unable loan you ours.  Therefore if you wish to BBQ, please bring your own.
