New for Summer 2024! Sidmouth and Budleigh beaches have both installed accessible beach matting, making the beaches more welcoming for all visitors

Sidmouth Folk Festival 2024 is well and truly under way. The Sidmouth Folk Festival is an annual event held in Sidmouth. This festival is one of the oldest and most prestigious folk festivals in the UK, with a rich history dating back to 1955. It typically takes place in late July or early August. Sidmouth Folk Festival for 2025 will take place Friday 1st August - Saturday 9th August 2025

Taking a short break at Alpine Park Cottages during the school holidays can be an excellent way for families to relax and enjoy quality time together. This year we are offering 3 or 4 night short breaks as well as the usual 7 or 14 nights.

Now and then, we all deserve a break. This week, we decided to treat ourselves to a day off and escape to the charming town of Dartmouth. Just a leisurely 40-minute drive from Alpine Park Cottages, Dartmouth beckoned with promises of riverside vistas, historic landmarks, and culinary delights.

These are just a few examples, but there are many more National Trust properties within easy reach of Alpine Park Cottages. Whether you're interested in history, and architecture, or simply enjoying the great outdoors, you'll find plenty to explore in the surrounding area.

The Lower Otter Restoration Project (LORP) was a partnership initiative between landowners Clinton Devon Estates and the Environment Agency to restore the historic floodplain of the Otter estuary near Budleigh Salterton, East Devon. In 2021, the construction part of a 10-year project started on the Lower River Otter and was completed at the end of 2023. In January 2024 the Elizabeth Bridge was opened a 70 metre footbridge spanning the Estuary.
