Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market
Dates: Thursday 20 November – Friday 19 December 2025
Times: Opens 10 am; evening hours vary (Mon–Wed ~7 pm, Thu–Sat ~9 pm, Sun ~11 am–5 pm)
Set in the shadow of Exeter Cathedral on Cathedral Green, this market is among Devon’s biggest seasonal draws. Wander through a labyrinth of wooden chalets selling handmade crafts, festive décor, artisan gifts, and international street food delights. The backdrop of the illuminated cathedral adds to the atmosphere.
The Polar Express™ Tram Ride — Seaton Tramway
Dates: From 28th November - 24th December 2025
Seaton Tramway brings the magic of The Polar Express alive on rails. On board, you’ll hear the story, enjoy hot chocolate and cookies, and travel to the “North Pole” where Santa greets you and gives out a sleigh bell. Then the return trip has carols and festive fun.

Christmas at Killerton (National Trust)
Dates: 29 November 2025 – 4 January 2026
Hours: 10:00–16:30 (closes 14:00 on Christmas Eve, closed Christmas Day & Boxing Day)

Torbay / Bay of Lights Illumination Trail
The Bay of Lights is the winter illumination festival across Torbay (Torquay, Paignton, Brixham). The centrepiece is the Torquay Illumination Trail.
